If you have one folder that you constantly retrieve it then it would be annoying for you to go deep into drives for a particular file to save. If it’s one time work we can do it but if you are doing it more often then it’s better to place a shortcut icon on the desktop. Preferably another good thing about it would be to have this folder as the taskbar on the Windows screen and you can directly open it with one click on it.
I am constantly writing for Windows Total and other blogs like Amit Bhawani, Androidtipsblog and I store them to a particular folder with images and other useful items like videos. Now I can access that folder without much hassle to memorize and can be accessed with few clicks. Similarly we have written about on how to add my computer icon to Windows 7 Taskbar.
Here is how I did that –
- Right click on the Windows Taskbar.
- Choose Toolbars.
- Click on New Toolbar and locate & open your folder.
- Click the Select Folder which you want the quick retrieval. Once its done it will be shown like this –
- You can access the folder right with a single click and you have access to all the files.
Removing procedure for the same toolbar is quite simple too.
