How to Create a Lock Desktop Shortcut Easily

Your computer at work or at home has lot of data which is confidential and important for you. The data should be secured and more often from being hacked you need to secure you data from other person been viewing it. For example if you are at a hospital or at a labs you need to move from one place to another from time to time and also you need to secure your data so that no one view it and leaks it out. This is quite important not only in hospitals but in software companies at the security checkup too.

So what do you generally do at that moment- shut down your PC or leave it as it is? You can hibernate your PC but that could again be problem if some know how to operate a computer and can easily get access to the private data. If you have Windows installed on your PC you can easily created Lock by which you can lock your PC within no time frame and you can attend urgent calls, unscheduled breaks or any other disturbances without being waiting for the PC to turn off.

Here is the simple, nice trick which will create a Lock desktop shortcut on your computer, which once pressed locks your PC in no time.

1. Right click anywhere on the blank area of the desktop.
2. Select New and click on Shortcut.

4. Click Next and name the shortcut as ‘Lockdown Desktop‘ or any other which you desire.

5. Click on Finish.

6. This would place a shortcut icon on your computer which is what you want, if you see this you have successfully followed the guide.

This tricks works for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Now if you want to lock your computer on a quick call from anyone click on that icon. Also there is shortcut for doing this, click on Win + L which will lock your computer.
