How to Set Default Location to Locate Sensor on Windows 7

Windows 7 has lot of development in many fields than Windows Vista or Windows XP. There are lot many features in Windows 7 which can help you.

In Windows 7 you can use default location to provide information about your computer’s geographic location. It’s quite helpful when you have a laptop with location sensor such as GPS receiver.

Setting Your Default Geographic Location in Windows 7

Following is the procedure on how to setup default location in Windows 7 –

  1. Click on Start button and type default location and in the search result select Default Location.
  2. This will open default location settings for you. This looks like something like this –Default Locations in Windows 7
  3. Provide your Zip Postal Code and Country or Region name. You can also enter latitude and longitude details.
  4. When you are done click on Apply.
