Microsoft blessed Windows 7 with Aero Desktop Experience UI, which makes it look cooler and more elegant. Though Aero Desktop mainly runs fine on modern computer hardware but it also works well with middle level hardware also.
Aero Desktop Experience includes effects such as transparency, Aero Peek, Aero Snap and Aero Shake. It gives Windows 7 – the cooler look. If you are facing any kind of problem in enabling Aero effects, follow some solutions given below.
Update your Graphics/Video Card Drivers
First of all, visit your video card manufacturer website and download the latest drivers available for your device model. You can also run Windows Updates, most of the time Windows 7 automatically finds the best suitable driver for your device. Most of the Aero effects related problems are caused by the outdated driver versions. It’s always better to keep your device driver updated.
Use Aero Desktop Experience Troubleshooter
In case if your computer is still having problems in running the Aero desktop experience, try out Aero troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common compatibility issues with running Aero, like your computer’s color, theme, power settings, and your computer’s video card.
Note: Make sure you have the most up-to-date troubleshooters from the Windows Online Troubleshooting Service, and for this your computer should be connected to the Internet.
To Run Aero Desktop Experience Troubleshooter
1. Click Start button, and then open Control Panel.
2. In the search box, type Troubleshooter, click Troubleshooting.
3. Under Appearance and Personalization, click Display Aero desktop effects.
